Britannia Building Society has claimed that borrowers looking to find a remortgage will now be able to do so without any charges, thanks to its new option.
The building society has revamped its equity release mortgage option, removing the arrangement fee.
Becoming available from September 28th 2006, the package may suit customers looking to find a remortgage without wishing to pay up-front fees.
Britannia states that customers who use its equity release mortgage will not face an arrangement fee or administration fee, while free conveyancing and a free standard valuation will be provided.
Borrowers who find a remortgage will save around £829, the company claims.
Mike Sims, Marketing Manager at Britannia, comments: "With Britannia covering the cost of switching, customers are saving hundreds of pounds on their mortgage.
"In addition, the offer applies to our entire remortgage range, so customers can choose the product that best suits their needs."
MoneyExpert recently claimed that borrowers could save money by shopping around for the best deal when trying to find a remortgage.
