Platform has scooped an award for its range of
sub-prime mortgages .
The
mortgage lender was named as the Best
Sub-prime Lender at the 2006 Hamptons Awards.
Held at the Vinopolos
Wine Museum, the awards aimed to recognise the achievements of
mortgage lenders .
Platform notes that the prize was its ninth in 2006, following its launch of an online application system named clickapplication.
Additionally, the
lender claims that it has made several enhancements to its range of
mortgages, including increased lending multiples and raising the
loan-to-value to 90 per cent on its
buy-to-let mortgages .
David Tweedy, managing director of Platform, said: "To receive this highly acclaimed award is a
credit to everyone associated with Platform and it is especially pleasing to win an award in the product sector that we have operated in for nearly ten years."
He added that the recent advancements had enabled the
company to remain competitive in the specialist
mortgage market .
Platform is the specialist
mortgage lender for
Britannia Building Society, claiming to have been responsible for more than £10.4 billion in
loans for house purchases since 1989.
