Help for people facing CCJ or bankruptcy

Thur, 17 Nov 2005

Capital Link has launched a new service for people who risk losing their homes due to adverse credit problems, bankruptcy or county court judgement (CCJ).

Mortgage brokers of people facing CCJ or bankruptcy can refer them to Capital Link for help.

Working with the trustees facing CCJ or bankruptcy, Capital Link then tries to reach a settlement figure for outstanding debt.

Capital Link claims this amount is usually "considerably lower" than what poor credit customers can achieve elsewhere, reports Mortgage Introducer.

A mortgage will then be arranged for the poor credit customer to help them pay off their outstanding debt.

This bankruptcy service for people with adverse credit problems is offered by Capital Link is association with mortgage brokers Mortgage Promotions.

Speaking at the launch of the service at the Mortgage Expo, Capital Link's Tony Hagerty said bankruptcy is a complex area and that many people need help finding a way out of it.

The managing director of Mortgage Promotions, Nick Baxter, said he believes mortgage brokers are well placed to introduce the bankruptcy service to clients facing CCJ or bankruptcy.
