Amongst all the emotional
stress the couples also have to face major financial decisions and more often than not land themselves in
financial difficulties, with missed
mortgage payments and amounting debts.
Financial service providers and
Mortgage lenders are now launching
mortgages specifically aimed at
divorced couples.
Yorkshire Building Society has launched 'The Fresh Start'
mortgage package for divorcing couples, which comes with
interest free repayments for the first six months and a cash-back of £400, and is available for upto 100% of the property's value.
The Building Society recognises the need for a holistic approach and offers a free counselling service as part of the mortgage package.
